Unique handmade glass beads

Welcome to my website.  My name is Rachel Jones and I have been a glass lampwork artist for more than 10 years.  I have been based in Folkestone since 2006.  I also make handbags, and play with ceramics.

First of all, I apologise for the very basic website and ordering system, but I am trying to focus my resources on making the best quality items and keeping costs down for my customers. I am happy to help or answer any questions you have - just email me, I'm pretty good about replying quickly! All the items listed have been designed and made by me in my studio on The Old High Street.

Glass beads have been made for thousands of years, and what I love about glass is that it retains its colour and brilliance and does not deteriorate. It is inert, and therefore unlikely to cause an allergic reaction for those with sensitive skin. Of course, glass can be fragile, and can chip and crack if dropped or knocked, and some of the fittings I use are metal so do email if you want to check if a product is suitable for you. None of my pieces are suitable for children under the age of 10.
